Virginia Tech (2-8, 0-5) fell to No. 49 Notre Dame (8-6, 3-4), 4-1, in its last outing over the weekend. The doubles pair of senior Nina Sorkin and junior Annie Clark continued to impress picking up a 6-3 win on Court 2. Sorkin also picked up a win in singles, downing her opponent on Court 3 in straight sets, 6-4, 6-3.
THUNDERING HERD
Marshall (3-3) dropped its last match to VCU (6-6, 1-0), 4-1. The match was the Herd's first loss at home of the season. In the rankings, Marshall boasts the No. 30 duo of Juliette Van Hansewyck and Liz Stefancic.
