HOKIES
Virginia Tech (6-4, 2-2) was able to get back on track with an impressive 5-2 victory over No. 39 Miami on Sunday. The Hokies established their dominance in doubles with wins by the senior pair of Carlo Donato and Ryan Kros, and the duo of freshman Hugo Maia and sophomore Michael Shepheard. Tech did not let up the breaks there, however. Highlighted by ranked wins for sophomore Matthis Ross (vs. No. 34) and Fishback (vs. No. 64), the Hokies won on four courts to capture the win in style against the Hurricanes.
SEMINOLES
Florida State (5-5, 0-2) will face No. 4 Virginia on Monday before heading to Blacksburg to take on the Hokies. The Seminoles have dropped two close 4-3 matches against ACC opponents Clemson and Georgia Tech. Florida State has two ranked players in its singles lineup,No. 77 Alex Knaff and No. 108 Rana-Roop Singh Bhular.
