Paige Petty reaches 200 career points in Hokies victory

BLACKSBURG – The Virginia Tech lacrosse team used an eight-goal run at the end of the first half to spur itself on to a 19-5 victory against Radford on Tuesday afternoon at Thompson Field.
 
After falling to an early 4-2 deficit, the Hokies (3-5, 0-3 ACC) bounced back with 14 consecutive goals to separate themselves from the Highlanders (0-9, 0-1 Big South).
 
Stealing the headlines of the match was Paige Petty, who eclipsed 200 career points with her first goal of the game. The senior recorded five goals on the evening, taking her career point total to 204. Petty becomes the only woman in program history to record 200 points and 200 draw controls.

• Emma Crooks recorded four goals, Sarah Lubnow scored three goals.
• The Hokies outshot Radford, 41-9.
• Of its 41 shots, Tech placed 32 on target.
