Myers advances to semifinals, earns All-American honors

ST. LOUIS – Through the quarterfinal rounds, Virginia Tech wrestling has four wrestlers still alive in the 2021 NCAA Championships and one in tonight's semifinals.

Korbin Myers earned his first All-American honors in his fourth NCAA appearance with a 1-0 win in the quarterfinals to advance to tonight's semis. The sixth-year senior is now 11-0 on the season.

Bryce Andonian, Hunter Bolen and Sam Latona each lost close decisions, Bolen in sudden victory, in the quarterfinals and will look to stay alive in tonight's bloodround. The trio can still earn All-American status with a win tonight.
