Mroz qualifies for her third NCAA’s event

GREENSBORO –Izzi Mroz finished the NCAA diving zones in high fashion, placing fifth and qualifying for her third NCAA event.
 
Mroz finished the platform diving event with a score of 450.95, securing her third ticket to the 2021 NCAA Championships.
 
Earlier in the competition, Morz qualified for both the 1 meter and 3 meter diving events alongside her teammate Teagan Moravek.
 
Mroz and Moravek will join 11 of their teammates to compete in the 2021 NCAA Women's Swimming and Diving Championships in Greensboro on March 17-20.


DAY TWO 
GREENSBORO – Teagan Moravek earned second place in the 3 meter diving event, qualifying in her second event for NCAAs on Friday afternoon during the NCAA Diving Zones in Greensboro.
 
Following her first place finish yesterday in the 1 meter diving event, Moravek came out strong scoring 607.00 securing her spot in the 2021 NCAA Championships once again.
 
Izzi Mroz also qualified for NCAAs in the 3 meter diving event with a score of 533.70. This is Mroz's second NCAA qualification of the competition. 
 
Competition will resume Saturday at 11:30 a.m. with the platform diving event. Morz will be competing for the Hokies, looking for her third 2021 NCAA qualification. Stats are available through Divemeets.com.


DAY ONE
GREENSBORO 
– Teagan Moravek and Izzi Mroz both qualified for the NCAA Championships on the first day of NCAA Diving Zones in Greensboro.
 
The Hokies competed in the women's 1 meter diving event, where Moravek finished in first place overall for zone A with a score of 593.00. The junior will be competing in the 3 meter diving event on Friday.
 
Izzi Mroz placed fifth overall, punching her ticket to NCAA's with a score of 510.50. Mroz will be competing in both the 3 meter and platform diving events on Friday and Saturday.
 
Given that both divers have qualified for NCAA's in one event, a top-12 placement will qualify them for NCAA's in their next events.
 
Competition will resume on Friday with the 3 meter diving event at 11:30 a.m. with stats available through divemeets.com.
