No. 36 Hokies to host Clemson, No. 45 Georgia Tech

BLACKSBURG – The No. 36 Virginia Tech men's tennis team will welcome two ACC opponents to the Burrows-Burleson Tennis Center this weekend – (RV) Clemson on Friday and No. 45 Georgia Tech on Sunday.

HOKIES
Virginia Tech (7-4, 3-2 ACC) has won two consecutive league contests, excelling from start to finish across doubles and singles matches. Freshman Ryan Fishback and sophomore Jordan Chrysostom have teamed up to have success on Court 1 in doubles, along with freshman Hugo Maia and sophomore Michael Shepheard on Court 3. Sophomore Matthis Ross and picked up ranked wins over the weekend, while Maia and Alvaro Saez-Royuela Ariza continued to accumulate wins in their rookie campaigns.
 
TIGERS
Clemson (6-7, 1-4 ACC) is coming off a 4-0 victory over Mercer last Sunday. In their last ACC outing, the Tigers fell to Georgia Tech at home, 4-1.
 
YELLOW JACKETS
Georgia Tech (8-5, 2-3 ACC) will face No. 3 Virginia on Friday ahead of visiting the Hokies. The Yellow Jackets defeated Georgia Southern, 7-0, last Sunday. Georgia Tech's singles lineup has one ranked player, No. 59 Andres Martin. Marcus McDaniel and Pablo Schelcher team up in the No. 31 doubles pair in the country, while the duo of Martin and Keshav Chopra is ranked No. 41.
