BLACKSBURG – The Virginia Tech men's tennis team continues its non-conference slate this weekend with a road tilt against No. 19 Kentucky on Friday before hosting Middle Tennessee on Sunday.

HOKIES
Tech (1-1) has looked strong in its first two matches of the year. The Hokies went down to the wire with No. 2 North Carolina to open the season last weekend before defending their home courts against ODU on Tuesday.
The doubles pair of graduate student Alex Ribeiro and sophomore Jordan Chrysostom has split results against ranked opponents this year, notably with a win over No. 6 William Blumberg and Brian Cernoch of UNC.
The Hokies' tandem of freshmen – Alvaro Saez-Royuela Ariza, Hugo Maia, and Ryan Fishback – has looked impressive through two matches, going 5-1 in singles competition.
KENTUCKY
The undefeated Wildcats (7-0) enter the weekend ranked No. 19 in the country. Kentucky's last two results, 4-0 wins, came over Dayton on Wednesday.
The Wildcats' lineup consists of three ranked singles players: No. 45 Liam Draxl, No. 114 Alexandre Leblanc, and No. 123 Joshua Lapadat.
MTSU
The Blue Raiders (3-2) last outing was a 7-0 victory over Austin Peay. MTSU will face Rice on Friday ahead of its clash with the Hokies.
MTSU has one ranked player – No. 102 Oskar Michalek.
