Weymouth, Mass. – The Virginia Tech women's tennis team fell to Boston College today on the road, 5-2.
 
The tandem of senior Nina Sorkin and junior Annie Clark earned a decisive victory for the Hokies (2-6, 0-3) on Court 3 against the Eagles' (3-3, 2-3) Hailey Wilcox and Lauren Hokova, 6-1. Tech narrowly lost the doubles point when seniors Nika Kozar and Elizabet Danailova fell to the No. 25 duo of Yufei Long and Kylie Wilcox, 6-4.
 
In singles, graduate student Shene Disbergen earned a win in straight on Court 6 against Sophia Edwards, 7-5, 7-6. Senior Nika Kozar also had a strong performance on Court 2. She rallied from an early deficit to win 0-6, 6-3, 7-6.
 
The Hokies will be back on the court on Friday to face Louisville (5-4, 2-2) at the Burrows-Burleson Tennis Center.
