Tech set to host No. 11 Duke

BLACKSBURG – The Virginia Tech women's tennis team hosts No. 11 Duke this weekend in its first ACC matchup of the season.

The Hokies (2-3) looked strong in their last outing, a 5-2 win over Xavier. After clinching the doubles point, Tech earned points on four courts to wrap up its second victory of the season. Leading the way for the Hokies this season is Nina Sorkin, who is 4-0 on the season after splitting time on Court 4 and Court 5.
 
The Blue Devils (5-1) enter the weekend on a three-match win streak, most recently blanking VCU, 7-0. Duke boasts six ranked players in its singles lineup: Kelly Chen (No. 8), Georgia Drummy (No. 28), Chloe Beck (No. 29), Margaryta Bilokin (No. 44), Karolina Berankova (No. T95), and Meible Chi (No. 111). The Blue Devils also have the country's No. 34 doubles pair of Beck and Chen.
