BLACKSBURG – Virginia Tech Athletics recognizes that our fans and stakeholders have many questions regarding what federal, state, and local guidelines will look like in terms of seating capacity at Lane Stadium for the 2021 football season, especially in light of the March 1 season ticket renewal deadline. While the situation remains fluid, the department did want to share what we currently know.

Tech Athletics remains hopeful that Hokie Nation can return to Lane Stadium in 2021, while keeping the health and safety of our student-athletes and fans in mind. In the meantime, athletics department staff is hard at work as sanitization enhancements in Lane Stadium are on-going and include the installation of over 200 hand sanitizing stations, contactless concession options, preparation for socially distanced seating and lines and more.

Should Lane Stadium capacity continue to be limited for the 2021 season, Tech Athletics will offer season ticket holders the same options as last fall - donate their ticket order purchase and/or per seat gift, credit their ticket purchase toward a prepaid account, or receive a refund on your ticket purchase and/or per-seat gift future football game tickets. If fans are permitted to attend football games this fall, 2021 Hokie Club members and season ticket holders will have priority access to tickets compared to the general public. More information on those priority groupings will be announced once we have clarity on expectations for the fall.

The renewal deadline for 2021 Hokie football season tickets is March 1, while the Hokie Scholarship Fund benefits giving deadline remains on March 31. This is the deadline for all Hokie Scholarship Fund gifts to be made to receive benefits for the upcoming year.

More information on the Hokie Scholarship Fund can be found here.

The Atlantic Coast Conference has released its 2021 football schedule. Virginia Tech will host seven games at Lane Stadium this season, kicking the year off with a conference clash with North Carolina on either Thursday, Sept. 2 or Friday, Sept. 3. In addition to ACC home games with Pitt (Oct. 16), Syracuse (Oct. 23) and Duke (Nov. 13), the Hokies will also host Notre Dame (Oct. 9), Middle Tennessee State (Sept. 11) and Richmond (Sept. 25) in Blacksburg.

Tech's complete 2021 schedule can be found here.

New season tickets are currently available for purchase, and prices remain the same from 2020. Tech fans interested in securing new season tickets can do so for as little as one percent down and a flexible payment plan.
