CORAL GABLES, FLA. – The Virginia Tech women's basketball team tied a program record with its fourth consecutive ACC win Thursday night, defeating Miami 75-55. Tech moves to 11-7 (6-7) on the season ahead of an extended time off due to a recent postponement.

"Extremely proud of the kids, it's my first time ever winning here, it's an extremely tough place to play," Head Coach Kenny Brooks said postgame. "I thought they listened to the scout, came together, executed the scout and were really locked in. I think things are coming together for us. We got great performances, obviously from Liz with a double-double. I thought Georgia Amoore was fantastic."

Amoore tied a career-high with five made 3-pointers in the game and ran the offense efficiently, with five assists to just one turnover. She also came up with four steals in the contest.

Miami, (8-8, 5-8) was led by a 20-point double-double from Destiny Harden and Kelsey Marshall scored 15 points in the effort. The Canes closed the gap to nine towards the end of the third quarter but would get no closer as the Hokies scored the first 10 in the fourth and would go on to win by 20.

Center Elizabeth Kitley scored 19 points on 15 field goal attempts and secured her league-leading 2th double-double of the season. Also in the frontcourt, Tech got 14 points and 10 rebounds combined from Azana Baines and D'asia Gregg.

Aisha Sheppard scored 19 in the game.

The Hokies held the Hurricanes to 38% shooting and just five free throw attempts.
