FINAL RESULTS
WATERSOUND, Fla. — Virginia Tech concluded play Tuesday at the Camp Creek Seminole Invitational, finishing 10th. The ACC-only event was contested at the par 72, 7,159-yard Camp Creek Golf Club.
Mark Lawrence Jr. paced the Hokies, tying for 30th at 4-over-par 220 (71-73-76). The graduate student from Richmond, Va., carded eight birdies over 54 holes, including four during his second round.
Tournament host Florida State defeated Wake Forest on the second playoff hole to secure the team title. The Seminoles fired a 10-under-par 278 to overtake the Deacs, who entered the day with a two-stroke edge. FSU and Wake tallied an impressive 22-under-par 842 to force the playoff.
Clemson's Jacob Bridgeman led wire-to-wire in claiming medalist honors. The junior signed for a 15-under-par 201, highlighted by an opening round and competitive course record of 8-under-par 64.
Tech returns to the course Feb. 8-9 for the Oldfield Invitational hosted by George Washington at Oldfield Golf Club in Bluffton, S.C.
