Hokies set to host Virginia Tech Diving Invite

BLACKSBURG The No. 15 Virginia Tech men's and women's swim and dive squad is set to host the Virginia Tech Diving Invite on Tuesday and Wednesday at the Christiansburg Aquatic Center. 
 
The Hokies will take on North Carolina beginning at 1 p.m Tuesday. This will be the team's second full competition of the season, the first was at Duke on Nov. 7, 2020. 
 
TECH WOMEN
 
In their last competition, Teagan Moravek led the team placing second in both the 1M and 3M against No. 16 Duke. Izzi Mroz was right behind placing third in both the 1M and 3M. Regan Westwood placed seventh in the 3M and ninth in the 1M. 
 
TECH MEN
 
Against Duke, Noah Zawadzki was victorious placing first in both the 1M and 3M. Zawadzki placed third in the 1M at the 2020 ACC Championships. Taj Cole took third in the 1M and fourth in the 3M against the Blue Devils. Joseph Perreault placed 5th in both the 1M and 3M
 
NORTH CAROLINA 
 
The Tar Heel Women are currently ranked No. 18 in the CSCAA poll. The 'Heels last competed at the Auburn Invitational in December. Aranza Vazquez was first place in the 1M followed by Emily Grund in second. For the men, Anton Down-Jenkins placed second in both the 1M and 3M, and Alex Hard placed fifth in the 1M and fourth in the 3M.
