IN THE RANKINGS
- Miami's Estela Perez-Somarriba is No. 1 in the latest ITA rankings. She is joined in the rankings by Daevenia Achong at No. 72 and Selma Cadar at No. 96. Achong and Cadar are also No. 59 nationally as a doubles team.
THE HOKIES
- Virginia Tech (7-1) are ranked for the first time this year, coming in at No. 35 in this week's ITA rankings.
- The Hokies currently hold a two match win streak after defeating Penn State and Radford last week.
- This weekend's matches will be Tech's first two true road games of the season.
THE HURRICANES
- Miami (3-3) have popped into the ITA rankings, as well, being ranked No. 27 this week.
- Last Monday, the Canes fell to No. 4 Florida St., 4-3.
- The Hokies will be the Hurricane's fifth ranked opponent of the year.
THE FIGHTING IRISH
- In their last match, No. 32 Notre Dame (7-3) defeated USC 4-3.
- The Fighting Irish face NC State on Friday, February 21, before hosting the Hokies on Sunday.
