Hokie ClubBLACKSBURG – Coming off its 40-point win Saturday, the Virginia Tech men's basketball team will take on Longwood Monday at Carilion Clinic Court at Cassell Coliseum at 8 p.m. ET on ACC Network.
SERIES HISTORY
The Hokies (6-1, 1-0 ACC) will go up against the Lancers (1-6, 0-2 Big South) for the first time in nine years, with last playing them on Jan. 22, 2011, a 70-52 win. Tech, which is 3-0 in the all-time series with Longwood, has played all of its games in Blacksburg, with the first one being played in 2008 and the second being in 2009. The Hokies' average margin of victory has been 25.0 points.

Tech, which was in a shooting slump from downtown, got its A-game together against Coppin State and hit 20 triples to win by 40. The Hokies had a balanced attack offensively, with 10 players scoring, including four in double figures.
PLAYERS TO WATCH
Pouring in five 3-pointers on his way to a 18 points, Nahiem Alleyne tied his most made shots from downtown, which he has done three times. The Georgia native also tied a season-high four rebounds and chipped in two assists.
With 11 of his 12 field-goal attempts coming from beyond the arc, Jalen Cone made them count by making five triples. Turning in a season-high 18 points, the guard also distributed it well, too, dishing out a season-high four assists.
SCOUTING LONGWOOD
• Longwood is coming off a heartbreaking loss to The Citadel, falling by two points on Saturday at home, 91-89. The Lancers had four players in double figures scoring and outscored the Bulldogs 58-24 in points in the paint.
• Head coach Griff Aldrich is in his third season in Farmville, following his two-year stint as director of program development at UMBC, where he was a part of the biggest upset in NCAA Tournament history (1-seed beating a 16-seed). He's the fastest coach in Longwood history to reach 30 wins.
• The Lancers are led by Juan Munoz, who is averaging 15.1 points, 3.3 assists and 4.0 rebounds per game, and Justin Hill, who is the lone other Lancer to be in double figures scoring at 12.7 points a contest.
• Similar to Coppin State (1-6) and its pace of shooting a lot of 3s, Longwood is has the second-most 3-point attempts in the Big South with 157. On the other end of the spectrum, Longwood is in the bottom 50 nationally in fouls committed per game (22.1).
