BLACKSBURG – Following its 3-0 start to the season and a ranked win on its resume, the Virginia Tech men's basketball team finds itself ranked No. 16 in the country, according the AP Top 25 poll, which was announced on Monday.

Tech enters the poll for the first time in two years, finishing No. 16 in the final poll after its Sweet 16 run in the 2019 NCAA Tournament. The highest the Hokies climbed during that historic season was No. 9 in the month of January.

The Hokies, who are ranked for the first time under coach Mike Young, will be back in action on Thursday at home, taking on VMI (1-1) at 8 p.m. ET on ACC Network.
