BLACKSBURG – Fresh off a performance that propelled the Hokies to their first win of the season, Jacob Labovitz has been named the ACC's Offensive Player of the Week.
On Friday, Labovitz led the Hokies to a 2-1 overtime victory at Louisville. The Great Falls, Virginia native tallied the first goal of the evening in the 50th minute as he fired a shot low and too the near post. In the 93rd minute, Labovitz scored the game winner with a fantastic curled effort from outside the box to the far post. The contest marked his first match as a Hokie recording a multi-goal game.

The Hokies enter the final week of the regular season with two contests ahead of them, the first a trip to Notre Dame, Indiana to take on the Fighting Irish on Monday afternoon and on Friday, finishing out the ACC schedule with a matchup against Virginia. That match against the Cavaliers is slated to begin at 4 p.m. and will be streamed on the ACC Network.
