Full Golf Channel release

The Virginia Tech women's golf program's 2021 recruiting class has been ranked eighth nationally, as determined by Golf Channel. Also, two of the Hokies' recruits were ranked in the Top 25 individually. This is the first time that a Virginia Tech women's golf recruiting class has been ranked by Golf Channel.

Symone Henriques, a native of Johannesburg, South Africa and a transfer from Daytona State College, is ranked 18th individually. She is joined in the Top 25 by Ginnie Lee of Lausanne, Switzerland, who is tied for 25th individually. Both will begin play for Virginia Tech in the Fall of 2021.

Overall, the class, which includes Kyrsten Shawah, along with Henriques and Lee, was the third-highest ranked Atlantic Coast Conference class and one of four ACC programs in the Top 10.

The Hokies, who were ranked 26thin the final 2019-20 Golfstat rankings and had climbed as high as 20thearlier in the season, return all five starters for the 2020-21 season. The Hokies will begin team play in the spring, after the ACC ruled against team competition in the Fall of 2020 due to the pandemic.
