The Virginia Tech cross country teams return to action Friday afternoon when both squads compete in the Virginia/Panorama Farms Invitational held at Panorama Farms in Earlysville, Virginia; just outside of Charlottesville.
The Hokies will compete against two other ACC schools – host Virginia and Duke. Attendance at the meet is limited to the families of student-athletes and to the coaching staffs.

The two Tech squads last competed in the season-opening Virginia Tech Invitational on Sept. 25 against Duke and NC State. Fitsum Seyoum, a senior from Leesburg, Virginia, ran the 8K race in a time of 25 minutes, 02.3 seconds, coming in fourth place and leading the way for Tech. Antonio Lopez Segura also registered a top-10 finish for the Hokies, coming in seventh with a time of 25:07.6 – a career-best time at this distance for Segura.
On the women's side, Tech's Lindsey Butler paced the Hokies with an 11th-place finish, running the race in a time of 21:31.3. Fellow sophomore Grace Boone also had a top-20 finish, coming in 18th with a time of 22:03.2.
The meet marks the final regular-season meet of the season for the Hokies. The ACC Championships will close the cross country season Oct. 30.
