Eight men, three women earn CSCAA All-American honors

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Eleven Hokies earned honors on Wednesday when the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) selected its All-American teams for the 2019-20 season.

For the men's team, eight were chosen after qualifying for the NCAA Championships. Sophomores Filippo Dal Maso, Antani Ivanov and Blake Manoff along with junior Lane Stone all garnered relay honors, after recording an A standard cut in the 800 free relay during ACCs.  

Several Hokies also earned All-American accolades in individual events:
Thomas Hallock (Jr.) – 50 Free
Antani Ivanov (So.) – 200 Fly
Blake Manoff (So.) – 100 Fly, 200 Fly
AJ Pouch (Fr.) – 200 Breast
Sam Tornqvist (Jr.) – 200 Back
Noah Zawadzki (So.) – 1-meter, 3-meter, platform
 
On the women's side, three Hokies earned individual accolades after making the cut for the NCAA Championships:
Teagan Moravek (So.) – 1-meter, 3-meter
Joelle Vereb (Jr.) – 50 Free, 100 Fly
Regan Westwood (Jr.) – 1-meter
 
Due to the cancellation of the NCAA Swimming & Diving Championships, the CSCAA Board adjusted the selection criteria.
The Division I criteria for 2020 – All Relays Achieving 'A" Standards, individuals selected to the NCAA Championships, and divers entered in uncontested events from the Zone C Diving Qualification meet, which went unfinished, are named All-American.
