GREENSBORO – It's tournament time. The Virginia Tech women's basketball team is set to begin play at the 2020 ACC Women's Basketball Tournament on Tuesday, March 5 with an 11 a.m. tipoff against the Wake Forest Demon Deacons at the Greensboro Coliseum.
Tech defeated Wake Forest 73-62 in the only meeting during the regular season on February 16 in Winston-Salem. Center Elizabeth Kitley registered a double-double with 21 points and 14 rebounds in that contest in just 25 minutes to lead the Hokies. Taja Cole also scored 20 points, marking the only contest of the season where two Hokies eclipsed the 20-point threshold.

THE DEMON DEACONS
Wake Forest is 15-15 after an 83-73 victory over North Carolina in the first game of the ACC Tournament. The Deacons were 7-11 in conference play and earned the 13 seed.
Ivana Racca was named to the ACC's second team on Monday, following a season where the forward averaged 16.7 points and 6.6 rebounds. She shot nearly 40% from the field.
