Hokies ranked 24th in final IWLCA Poll of 2020

BLACKSBURG – The Virginia Tech lacrosse team concludes the 2020 season ranked 24th in the IWLCA Coaches Poll the organization announced Thursday. 
 
The Hokies played their last contest on March 11 at Brown, falling to the Bears 13-11.
 
The shortened season ends with the Hokies amassing a 7-3 record and standing at 1-1 in ACC play after completing 59% of the regular season.
 
Tech's senior class, comprised of Kendall Welch, Mary Clare McCarthy, Taylor Caskey, Sydney Gagnon, Kara Reichert, Kiley Kettle and Angie Benson represents the winningest group of seniors in program history with their 40 wins. Included in those is the best single-season (2018) where the program had 14 wins, five league wins, the first ACC Tournament win, the first NCAA Tournament appearance and consequently the first win in that competition.
