BLACKSBURG - The Virginia Tech women's tennis team claimed their second win of the day defeating James Madison 4-3 on Sunday afternoon at the Burrows-Burleson Tennis Center.
Elizabet Danailova and Nina Sorkin teamed up for their second doubles win of the day, defeating JMU's Kylie Moulin and Amanda Nord, 6-4. Natalie Novotna and Shene Disbergen secured the doubles point for the Hokies with a 6-4 win on court one, defeating Natalie Nikolopoulou and Daniela Voloh.
On court one, Novotna defeated Jona Roka with a commanding 6-0, 6-1 finish earning her second singles win of the day. Freshman Erika Cheng picked up her fourth singles win of the season with a 6-4, 6-1 win over Nikolopoulou on court five.
Disbergen was able to secure the team win for the Hokies on court six defeating Nord, 7-6(4), 6-2.
The Hokies will be back in action on Saturday, Feb. 8, against Arkansas at the Fertitta Tennis Complex in Las Vegas, Nev.

BLACKSBURG - The Virginia Tech women's tennis team defeated Winthrop 5-2 on Sunday at the Burrows-Burleson Tennis Center.
Tech opened the day claiming the doubles point with wins on courts one and three. Shene Disbergen and Natalie Novotna teamed up on court one to pick up a 6-1 win over Winthrop's Alexandra Ferreira Da Silva and Tayla Van Eck. On court three, Chhinda Som and Nina Sorkin claimed a 6-3 win over Jaime Edwards and Angela Georgieva to secure the doubles point.
Nika Kozar took a quick 6-0, 6-1 win on court two over Tayla Van Eck. On court five Erika Cheng defeated Angela Georgieva 6-4, 6-1 to help extend the Hokies lead to 3-0.
Winthrop claimed wins on courts three and six. Novotna secured the team win for the Hokies at one, knocking off Alisa Soloveva 7-5, 3-6, 6-1.
On court 4, Disbergen stretched the Hokies lead to 5-2 defeating Samantha Nanere 6-2, 3-6, 7-5.
