THE HOKIES
- Tech took down Appalachian State and ETSU last Sunday, winning both 6-1 to start the season 2-0.
- The Hokies won the doubles point and claimed five singles wins in both matches.
- Against Appalachian State, Nika Kozar, Elizabet Danailova, Nina Sorkin, Shene Disbergen, and Erika Cheng all claimed singles wins.
- Natalie Novotna, Kozar, Sorkin, Disbergen, and Cheng all picked up singles wins against ETSU.
- Freshman Erika Cheng made her collegiate duals debut last weekend.
THE OPPONENTS
- Winthrop is currently 0-2 after falling to No. 24 Wake Forest and William & Mary.
- JMU is currently 1-1 after falling to ECU and picking up a win against Howard.
- Winthrop and JMU will face off against each other on Saturday before meeting the Hokies.
