Hokies on the road to face Tulane

BLACKSBURG -  The Virginia Tech men's tennis team look to get back on track this weekend against Tulane in an away contest on Sunday afternoon.

IN THE RANKINGS
At the end of the fall slate, the Green Wave had three players ranked: No. 32 Ewan Moore, No. 47 Dane Esses and No. 90 Hamish Stewart.

HOKIES

  • Virginia Tech narrowly missed out on a win against LSU last weekend, falling 4-3. Seniors Henrik Korsgaard and Mitch Harper both secured two-set wins on Courts No. 1 and 2, and junior Carlo Donato grabbed a point on Court No. 5. 
  • Harper's success continued against Alabama, defeating No. 96 Riccardo Roberto, while Donato grabbed a second win on the weekend against the Crimson Tide. 

GREEN WAVE

  • Tulane is coming off two defeats at the ITA Kickoff last weekend, falling to No. 11 Stanford, 4-1, and Miami, 4-2. 
  • The Green Wave faced LSU on Friday, defeating the Tigers 4-3 on the road.
  • This is the sixth meeting between the Tulane and Tech, the Hokies lead 3-2.

The Hokies will be at home for the first time this season, hosting App. State on Saturday, Feb. 8, at 1 p.m. at the Burrows-Burleson Tennis Center.
