BLACKSBURG — The Virginia Tech women's tennis team will kick off the 2020 spring dual season this weekend in a doubleheader against Appalachian State and ETSU.

THE HOKIES
- Hokies return an experienced lineup, including seniors Natalie Novotna and Shene Disbergen, and juniors Nika Kozar, Nina Sorkin and Elizabet Danailova.
- The Hokies also added three new players in January with Erika Cheng, Chhinda Som and Shiran Arol Wiegand.
- Tech also added two new staff members with assistant coach Aneta Miksovska and volunteer assistant Larry Holmes.
- Tech ended last season at the ACCs, where they knocked off Clemson to advance.
THE OPPONENTS
- Appalachian State opened the spring last Monday with a loss to NC State. Tech and the Mountaineers met during the 2017-18 spring season with the Hokies claiming a 5-2 win.
- ETSU opened their spring season with a loss to NC State as well. The Bucs are set for a matchup with Davidson on Saturday before making the trip to Blacksburg.
