Hokie ClubBLACKSBURG – Season ticket renewals and new season ticket orders for the 2020 football season have been made available to the public, the Virginia Tech Athletics Department announced on Wednesday morning.
Fans who had season tickets in 2019 can renew their season tickets by clicking here and logging into their online account. Fans who did not have season tickets last year may place a new order by clicking here.
The 2020 season will include an entire reseating of Lane Stadium, as announced during the 2017 reseating process. Seats will be selected in the spring of 2020 based on priority points and provided each individual contributes at the per-seat minimum amount for the area they select.
New for 2020
Tiered season ticket pricing will be implemented based on location starting at $350 per season ticket. With this pricing model, many fans will see their season ticket price either decrease or stay the same depending on location. In an effort to avoid overpayment during the reseating process, fans will purchase their season tickets at the lowest tiered price ($350) with the possibility of an additional payment depending on location during seat selection. As scholarship costs continue to rise, the Hokies will place the following adjustments into effect:
- Hokie Club membership levels will see an average increase of 10 percent.
- All per-seat contributions will remain the same except for the addition of a $25 per seat gift for seats that previously did not require a donation.
- The membership deadlines have been consolidated into the annual giving deadline of March 31.
Timeline
- December 18, 2019: Season tickets made available.
- March 31, 2020: Season ticket and Hokie Scholarship Fund priority deadline to be ranked and included in the seat selection process.
- April 2020: Season ticket members notified of their seat and parking selection date.
- May 2020: Football seat and parking selection begins.
The Hokies' home slate includes matchups against ACC Coastal Division foes Miami, Georgia Tech and Virginia in 2020. In addition, the non-conference portion of the schedule features visits to Lane Stadium by Penn State, Liberty and North Alabama. The full schedule is expected to be released in early 2020.
Tech will enter the 2020 season on the nation's longest active bowl streak, 27 years following the Hokies' participation in the 2019 Belk Bowl in Charlotte, North Carolina on December 31. The Hokies are under the direction of fourth-year head coach Justin Fuente who has amassed a 33-19 record in Blacksburg which includes a 2016 ACC Coastal Division crown and four consecutive bowl appearances. Tech is 20-12 against conference opposition under Fuente.
