PITTSBURGH – More than just dragging rights were on the line on Sunday night at Heinz Field as Tech's Edmunds brothers squared off on national television. Trey Edmunds, Terrell Edmunds, and the Pittsburgh Steelers hosted LB Tremaine Edmunds and the Bills on Sunday Night Football. It marked the first time three brothers will played in the same NFL game since the 1927 Duluth Eskimos had Joe, Cobb & Bill Rooney.
Buffalo prevailed by a 17-10 margin to clinch a playoff and move to 10-4 on the season, setting up a huge game at New England (11-3) on Saturday. The youngest Edmunds led the Bills with eight tackles (six solo) to go with 1.0 TFL and a pass defensed. S Terrell Edmunds led the Steelers with 11 tackles (10 solo). The eldest Edmunds, Trey, suited up at running back for the Steelers and contributed on special teams. The Steelers (8-6) are still fighting for a Wild Card berth and will travel to face the N.Y. Jets on Sunday.
Here's a look at some of the best social media coverage and reactions to the first NFL game featuring a trio of brothers in nearly a century.
