GREENBORO, N.C. – Virginia Tech sophomore Blake Manoff has been named the ACC Men's Swimmer of the Week as announced Tuesday by the league office.
Manoff placed in the top two in all six of his races in wins over No. 8 Ohio State (185-168) and Penn State (205.5-145.5), winning four of them. The Haymarket, Virginia native won the 100 freestyle and 100 butterfly and was part of the first-place teams in the 200 free relay and the 400 medley relay. His time in the 100 fly set a new McCoy Natatorium record and gave Manoff an NCAA B cut time at 47.13.
This marks Manoff's first ACC weekly honor of his career. It is the second time this season the Hokies have earned weekly honors after sophomore Noah Zawadzki was named last week's Diver of the Week.
