BLACKSBURG – Virginia Tech fans are getting two more games against a Southeastern Conference opponent on the Hokies' future football schedules. On Tuesday, Director of Athletics Whit Babcock announced that Vanderbilt will each play a home-and-home series with the Hokies. Virginia Tech will play Vanderbilt in Nashville in 2024 at Nissan Stadium – home of the NFL's Tennessee Titans – with the Commodores visiting Lane Stadium in 2025.
That addition brings the total of future games against SEC foes up to six contests for the Hokies. Earlier this fall, Babcock confirmed that Alabama and Ole Miss had both agreed to home-and-home games with the Hokies.

"Playing Vanderbilt in Nashville, in the relative near term, provides a drivable destination for our fans in a major market with a strong Tech alumni base," Babcock said. "Vanderbilt should also be a nice draw and addition to our ticket packages in Blacksburg."
Tech owns a 6-3 all-time advantage against Vanderbilt with the most recent meeting coming in Beamer's third campaign as Tech head coach as the Hokies prevailed by an 18-0 margin. Tech has won the last five games in the series dating back to 1983. The first meeting between the two squads took place in Nashville in 1930. The Hokies are set to return to Music City in 2024 with a contest at Nissan Stadium, home of the NFL's Tennessee Titans. Vanderbilt scheduled to visit to Lane Stadium in 2025.
