BLACKSBURG – Virginia Tech head volleyball coach Jill Wilson on Wednesday announced that three prospective student-athletes – Emily Campe, Kirah Johnson and Brie Postema – have signed their National Letters of Intent on the first day of the signing period to join the Hokies for the 2020-21 academic year.
"The signing class brings a dynamic level of offense to our program," Wilson said. "They each have very high athletic and academic goals to take our program to the next level. These three student-athletes will be immediate contributors on the court but will also represent the pillars of Virginia Tech and the athletics program."

"Emily plays at a very high point above the net with her length being 6-foot-3," Wilson said. "She is a smooth attacker with a natural swing from the rightside. She is a competitor who thrives in the big moments. Emily's potential is extremely high and we can't wait to have her impact our team both on the offensive and blocking sides of the ball."

"From the first time I watched Kirah, she showed that she is a fighter and will always want the ball at key moments," Wilson said. "She is a dynamic athlete with a fast arm and quick jump. Kirah will help us speed up our offense and will be very versatile running different plays across the front row."

"Brie is a setter that has a high level of accuracy and consistency," Wilson said. "Her intelligence and poise allow her to make great decisions as a quarterback. She will make an immediate impact with her work ethic and mature approach to everything she does."
Tech will hit the road this weekend, taking on Clemson (10-15, 4-10 ACC) at 7 p.m. ET on Friday at Jervey Gym. The match, which is Tech's last road match of the regular season, will be broadcast on ACC Network Extra.
