TULSA, Okla. – Virginia Tech sophomore Brandon Perez split results on Saturday during the opening day of the 2019 ITA All-American Championships in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Perez opened with a 6-4, 6-4 win over Oklahoma's Matt Rodriguez in the first round of the prequalifying singles. In the next match, Perez faltered, falling to Cal's Kent Hunter 6-1, 6-4.
The Hokies' Henrik Korsgaard will be on the court on Monday, Oct. 7 in the qualifying singles. In addition, Korsgaard and Perez will take to the court for qualifying doubles.
