Hokies wrap-up Fall 2019 season in Mexico

BLACKSBURG – The Virginia Tech women's golf team closes out the fall season, as it travels to the sunny beaches of Mexico for the Battle at the Beach. The three-day tournament will be played at Club Campestre San Jose in San Jose del Cabo, Mexico, beginning on Friday.

BATTLE AT THE BEACH
The 16-team field will play the par 72, 6,280-yard Club Campestre San Jose, a Jack Nicklaus designed course. The Hokies are the only ACC team in the tournament. Led by No. 12 Vanderbilt and No. 13 Ole Miss, four of the 16 teams are ranked in the Top 25 and half of the field is ranked in the top 50.
 
Tournament action will consist of 18 holes of play on each of the three days of competition. There will be a practice round on Thursday, Oct. 31.
 
The five players in the Hokies' starting line-up are:

Jessica Spicer, senior, Bahama, North Carolina, Emily Mahar, junior, Brisbane, Australia, Keera Foocharoen, sophomore, Bangkok, Thailand, Alyssa Montgomery, freshman, Knoxville, Tennessee and Becca DiNunzio, freshman, Norfolk, Virginia.
