BLACKSBURG – The Atlantic Coast Conference announced Monday that Virginia Tech's home football contest against Wake Forest will kick off at 3:30 p.m. ET on Saturday, Nov. 9 at Lane Stadium. The game will be televised by ESPN2 or ACC Network.

Virginia Tech will be celebrating the career of longtime defensive coordinator Bud Foster throughout the day's festivities on Nov. 9. Stay tuned for more details surrounding the Wake Forest and make sure to get into Lane Stadium early so you don't miss any of the tributes.

Prior to the start of preseason camp, Foster announced that he would retire from coaching following the 2019 football season. He will then serve as an ambassador for Tech Athletics much like former head coach Frank Beamer. Since taking over as Virginia Tech's defensive coordinator, Foster has helped guide the Hokies to a 227-91 mark (.714). Dating back to the 1996 campaign, no defense in the nation has accumulated more sacks (881.0) than Tech.
