GREENSBORO, N.C. – Louisville is the 2019-20 Atlantic Coast Conference Women's Basketball preseason favorite, according to separate polls of the league's 15 head coaches and the Blue Ribbon Panel.
 
The Cardinals received 34 of 49 first-place votes from the Blue Ribbon Panel for a total of 713 points and 13 of 15 first-place votes from the head coaches to finish with 223 points to lead the voting. Louisville was chosen as the preseason favorite for the first time since joining the conference prior to the 2013-14 season.

Tech was chosen 10th in both polls completed by the league's 15 head coaches and selected media members who comprise the Blue Ribbon Panel.

Youth Team Days

  • Four days planned; vs. Gardner-Webb on December 8 at 2 p.m., vs. Clemson on January 26 at 1 p.m., vs. Miami on February 2 at 2 p.m. and vs. Virginia on February 23 at 2 p.m.

The Hokies have an exciting 15-game slate set for Carilion Clinic Court that includes nine ACC games with the new conference format with 18 regular season league contests. Tech will once again play host to the Big Ten/ACC Challenge in December when the Purdue Boilermakers visit Blacksburg on the fifth.
 
Tech tips off the 2019-20 season at home on Tuesday, November 5 at Carilion Clinic Court at Cassell Coliseum against the St. Francis Red Flash. Tip is set for 7 p.m. and the game will be broadcast on ACC Network Extra.
