BLACKSBURG – Continuing its action in road play, the Virginia Tech volleyball team will head east to Richmond, Virginia, taking on VCU Tuesday in a midweek tilt Tuesday.
The match will be at 6 p.m. ET and will be broadcast on ESPN+ inside the Siegel Center. It marks Tech's (3-3) first midweek match of the season and VCU's (4-3) second.

Last weekend, Tech played in a four-team tournament on Liberty's (3-2) campus and went 2-1 over the weekend, defeating Elon (1-5) and Davidson (2-4) in four sets. In the Davidson match, freshman Logan Mosley broke a school record by racking up 39 digs and became just the fifth Hokie to ever have a 30-dig match.
Junior Marisa Cerchio also had a big weekend, recording at least 13 kills in all three matches to make the all-tournament team. She currently is third in the ACC for points per set with a 4.44 mark.
Speaking of ACC rankings, Mosley sits atop the league for digs per set, boasting a 6.18 digs per set average.
The last time the Rams and Hokies faced off was last year in Blacksburg, with Tech winning 3-0 behind 10 kills and seven digs from outside hitter Ester Talamazzi.
SCOUTING VCU
• VCU is coming off a 2-1 weekend in Richmond, getting two Power Five wins over NC State (2-3) and Alabama (5-1) before losing a five-set thriller to Santa Barbara (5-1).
• Head coach Jody Rogers begins her seventh year in Richmond after serving as the head coach at Indianapolis. Since her arrival to VCU, she led the Rams to their first-ever A-10 title and NCAA Tournament, earning A-10 Coach of the Year honors.
• The Rams are paced by middle blocker Jasmin Sneed, who just picked up Atlantic 10 Conference Defensive Player of the Week honors this week, averaging 1.75 blocks per set.
• Tech leads the all-time series 21-8 and is 15-8 all-time in Richmond. It has won 15 in a row over the Rams, dating back to 1985.
