The Hokies look to claim their first points in league play after falling to (RV) Louisville 2-1 last week. Kristo Strickler put the Hokies on top in 36th minute as he turned on the volley, while holding off two defenders, to beat the keeper to the far post.
Tech was in control for a large portion of the second half, but a counter opportunity by the Cardinals in the 82nd saw the score knotted up. Minutes later in the 85th they once again found the back of the net to secure a victory.
