Hokies open fall slate at Liberty Invite

BLACKSBURG - Three members of the Virginia Tech men's tennis team will travel to Lynchburg, Virginia to compete in the Liberty Invitational this weekend. The tournament will begin Friday, Sept. 13, and conclude on Sunday, Sept. 15. 

Junior Chase Bernstine will take the court at the Liberty Invitational, along with freshmen Ryan Bernstine and Michael Shepheard. The freshman will be making their collegiate debuts. 

Play will begin on Friday at 1 p.m. with all teams competing in doubles action, followed by the first round of singles. Saturday will feature more doubles matches with all schools, beginning at 9 a.m., then second and third round competition for singles to follow. The invitational will conclude on Sunday with doubles and the final round of singles. The Hokies will be facing student-athletes from: ECU, Elon, Liberty, Furman, James Madison and Kennesaw State.
