Two Virginia Tech distance runners earned great international experience over the weekend as Antonio Lopez Segura and Ben Nibbelink both competed in U-20 Championships over the weekend  representing their home countries.
 
Lopez was representing his home country of Spain this weekend at the European U-20 Championships in Boras, Sweden. Competition began for him on Thursday in the qualifying round of the 1,500 where he advanced to Saturday's finals with his time of 3 minutes, 50.49 seconds. Lopez ran a good race in the finals on Saturday as he finished seventh with his time of 3:58.20.
 
Nibbelink represented the United States in the Pan American U-20 Championships in San Jose, Costa Rica. In Saturday's finals of the 3,000 steeplechase, he finished 10th with a time of 9:54.52.
