Final Round
Virginia Tech women's golfer Amanda Hollandsworth posted a three-round total of 3-under 213 and tied for fifth at the NCAA Norman Regional on Wednesday afternoon. With the finish, Hollandsworth was one of the top three individuals on a non-advancing team and will play in the 2019 NCAA Women's Golf Championship next week in Fayetteville, Arkansas.
The Hokies posted a three-round total of 883 and finished in 11thplace overall. The three-day event was played Monday-Wednesday at the par 72, 6,367-yard Jimmie Austin OU Golf Club in Norman, Oklahoma.
In moving on to the national finals, Hollandsworth, graduate student from Floyd, Virginia, becomes the first player in program history to advance to nationals. The Hokies are in just their fourth year of competition and Hollandsworth has played in every event in which the Virginia Tech women's golf team has competed.
Hollandsworth posted rounds of 70-70-73=213 to advance, along with co-medalist Kaitlin Milligan of host Oklahoma and Michaela Fletcher of Memphis.
Texas won the team title with a 9-under 855, nine strokes ahead of Florida and Wake Forest. Purdue, Arizona State and Ole Miss claimed the other three spots of the six teams advancing to the nationals.
Elizabeth Bose, a senior from Norfolk, Virginia and Emily Mahar, a sophomore from Brisbane, Australia, tied for 46that 223. Keera Foocharoen, a freshman from Bangkok, Thailand tied for 55that 226 and Jessica Spicer, a junior from Bahama, North Carolina, tied for 86that 237.
The 2019 NCAA Women's Golf Championship will be played May 17-22 at Blessings Golf Club in Fayetteville, Arkansas and will be hosted by the University of Arkansas.

Second Round
The Virginia Tech women's golf team has a two-day total of 588 and is in ninth place after the second round of the NCAA Norman Regional on Tuesday afternoon. The three-day event is being played Monday-Wednesday at the par 72, 6,367-yard Jimmie Austin OU Golf Club in Norman, Oklahoma.
Tech shot a 291 in Monday's first round and was in 10thplace. The Hokies followed that with a 297 on Tuesday afternoon.
Amanda Hollandsworth, a graduate student from Floyd, Virginia, leads the Hokies in Oklahoma. She has a two-round total of 4-under 140 and is tied for fifth place individually. She trails leader Olivia Mehaffey of Arizona State by five strokes. Hollandsworth fired her second consecutive 2-under 70 on Tuesday.
Elizabeth Bose, a senior from Norfolk, Virginia, is tied for 33rdplace at 147 and Keera Foocharoen, a freshman from Bangkok, Thailand, is tied for 49thplace at 150. Emily Mahar, a sophomore from Brisbane, Australia, is tied for 55that 151 and Jessica Spicer, a junior from Bahama, North Carolina, is in 88thplace at 163.
Top seed Texas holds the lead with an 8-under 658, one stroke ahead of Flordia and six strokes ahead of Purdue. Wake Forest is fourth at 575, Arizona State is fifth at 579, Ole Miss and Texas Tech are tied for sixth at 581 and Mississippi State is eighth at 582, six strokes ahead of the Hokies. NC State and host Oklahoma are tied for 10that 589, TCU is 12that 590 and Texas A&M are 13that 596. UTSA is 14that 604, Pepperdine is 15that 608, UNC Wilmington is 16that 611, Sam Houston State is 17that 616 and Fairleigh Dickinson is 18that 643.
The top six teams and top three individuals not on an advancing team will advance to the 2019 NCAA Women's Golf Championship, to be held May 17-22 at Blessings Golf Course in Fayetteville, Arkansas, hosted by the University of Arkansas.
The final round will be played on Wednesday.

Amanda Hollandsworth, a graduate student from Floyd, Virginia, fired a 2-under 70 on Tuesday and is tied for sixth place individually. She trails leader Michaela Fletcher of Memphis by two strokes. Hollandsworth had four birdies on the day, including a birdie on each of her first two holes in the first round.
Keera Foocharoen, a freshman from Bangkok, Thailand, is tied for 24th with an even-par 72 and Emily Mahar, a sophomore from Brisbane, Australia, is tied for 45th at 74. Elizabeth Bose, a senior from Norfolk, Virginia, is tied for 54th at 75 and Jessica Spicer, a junior from Bahama, North Carolina, is tied for 91st at 82.
Florida holds the first-round lead with a 4-under 284, one stroke ahead of NC State and three strokes ahead of Texas Tech, Texas, Ole Miss and Mississippi State. Purdue is seventh at 289 and Arizona State and Wake Forest are tied for eighth, one stroke ahead of the Hokies and two strokes ahead of Texas A&M and host Oklahoma. TCU is 13th at 294, Pepperdine is 14th at 299, Sam Houston State is 15that 300, UTSA is 16that 303, UNC Wilmington is 17th at 307 and Fairleigh Dickinson is 18th at 316.
The Hokies will tee off beginning at 7:30 a.m. CDT from the 10th tee in Tuesday's second round. Tech will be paired with Texas A&M and Oklahoma.
