Virginia Tech women's golfer Elizabeth Bose has been selected to the 2018-19 Google Cloud Academic All-District 3 Women's At-Large Team, selected by CoSIDA. The district teams are selected by members of CoSIDA and honor the nation's top student-athletes for their performances in both athletics and in the classroom.
Bose, from Norfolk, Virginia, is one of 10 student-athletes on the District 3 team. A recent Virginia Tech graduate with degrees in clinical neuroscience and biochemistry, with a minor in chemistry, Bose has earned the all-district honor in each of the past three years.
On the course, Bose closed out her Virginia Tech career second in scoring average, at 75.01 and fourth in career Crunch Time average, at 75.30. She is second in program history with 28 rounds of par-or-better and tied for tops in school history in Top 5 finishes. Among her many academic honors, Bose was awarded the 2017 Skelton Award for Academic Excellence in Athletics, the top academic honor awarded by the Tech athletics department and was named the Virginia Tech/ACC Scholar-Athlete of the Year in 2018. Earlier this month, Bose helped lead the Hokies to their second consecutive NCAA regional appearance.
The Google Cloud Academic All-District teams are divided into eight geographic districts across the United States and Canada. To be eligible for the team, student-athletes must be a sophomore or higher and have at least a 3.30 grade point average.
Bose is one of three golfers and four Atlantic Coast Conference student-athletes on the District 3 team. She will now be placed on the national ballot for voting later this month.
