The Virginia Tech men's golf team begins a busy April, as they travel to Georgia to compete in the Augusta Haskins Award Invitational. The two-day tournament will be played Saturday and Sunday at the Forest Hills Golf Club in Augusta, Georgia.

AUGUSTA HASKINS AWARD INVITATIONAL
This is a new name for a familiar event for the Hokies. Tech has played in this tournament, hosted by Augusta University for a number of years. The Hokies are one of three ACC teams in the 15-team event, joining Notre Dame and Wake Forest.

Each year, this event attracts one of the top fields in collegiate golf, This year's event is no different, as it features four teams in the Golfstat.com top 55, led by third-ranked Wake Forest and seventh-ranked Texas.

The players competing for the Hokies are:
Connor Burgess, sophomore, Lynchburg, Virginia; Connor Johnson Jr., freshman, Richmond, Virginia; Slade Pickering, sophomore, North West, South Africa; Drew Brockwell, freshman Chesterfield, Virginia and Cameron Moore, freshman, Richmond, Virginia.
