GREENSBORO, N.C.—Virginia Tech women's tennis junior Natalie Novotna has been named to the 2019 All-ACC Third Team list, as selected by the league's head coaches and announced Thursday.
This is Novotna's third time being recognized by the All-ACC team in as many years. As a freshman, she received third team honors, while being named second team in her sophomore campaign.
Hailing from the Czech Republic, Novotna posted an 8-14 record this season, playing at the one all spring, while going 18-18 overall on the year. She picked up two ranked victories; against #15 Florida State, Novotna defeated Carla Touly (No. 32), 6-4, 6-1. Later in the season, she battled to a three set victory over Emma Davis (No. 31) of #22 Wake Forest. In the most recent rankings released by ITA, Novotna is ranked No. 102.
In doubles, Novotna added an 11-12 overall tally and was 9-11 at the one this spring.
