BLACKSBURG – The 2019 NFL Draft begins on Thursday night in Nashville with the first round kicking off at 8 p.m. ET. Rounds 2-3 will begin on Friday, April 26 with former Virginia Tech standout and Pro Bowl S Kam Chancellor announcing Seattle's third-round selection.
T Yosuah Nijman turned in some impressive numbers at the 2019 NFL Scouting Combine. Nijman's 4.50-second short shuttle time ranked second among offensive linemen, while his 114.0-inch broad jump tied for the fifth-best mark. The Maplewood, N.J. native also put up 27 reps on the bench press, coming just one rep shy of landing in the top 10 in that category. DT Ricky Walker is also another top candidate from Virginia Tech to be drafted or offered a free agent contract.

VIRGINIA TECH NFL DRAFT FAST FACTS
- Dating back to 1970, Virginia Tech and Miami are the only current ACC schools to produce a pair of No. 1 overall selections – DE Bruce Smith (Buffalo – 1985) and QB Michael Vick (Atlanta – 2001).
- Tremaine Edmunds (16th overall – Buffalo) and Terrell Edmunds (28th overall – Pittsburgh) became the only set of brothers both selected in the first round of the same NFL Draft in 2018.
- The selection of the Edmunds brothers in 2018 upped Tech's all-time total of first-round picks to 13.
- At least one Virginia Tech player has been selected every season dating back to 1993.
- Tremaine Edmunds became the second-youngest player drafted in the common era (since 1967) at 19 years, 11 months and 25 days. DT Amobi Okoye (D1-Houston) in 2007 was selected at 19 years, 10 months and 19 days old).
- Virginia Tech is the only school that has been home to four brothers who have all been selected in the NFL Draft – the Fuller brothers.
