ACC WOMEN'S GOLF CHAMPIONSHIP
The Hokies will begin play in the ACC Women's Golf Championship on Thursday, April 18. Tech is the 10thseed in this years' event.

This year's event is perhaps the toughest field in all of women's collegiate golf. Nine of the 12 teams are ranked in the top 50 on Golfstat.com, led by No. 3 Duke, No. 8 Wake Forest and No. 9 Florida State. The Hokies are ranked 53rd nationally. Last season, 11 of the 12 teams advanced to the NCAA Regional field, including Virginia Tech, making its first-ever trip to the regionals in just its third season of competition.

Play will consist of three days of 18 holes of competition, running through Saturday, when the champion will be crowned.

The five players in the Hokies' starting line-up are:

Amanda Hollandsworth, graduate student, Floyd, Virginia, Elizabeth Bose, senior, Norfolk, Virginia, Keera Foocharoen, freshman, Bangkok, Thailand, Emily Mahar, sophomore, Brisbane, Australia and Jessica Spicer, junior, Bahama, North Carolina
