BLACKSBURG – The 8th-seeded Virginia Tech men's tennis team is set face 9th-seed and No. 46 ranked Notre Dame on Thursday, April 18 at 9 a.m. in the second round of the 2019 ACC Men's Tennis Championship.

The Hokies are looking to bounce back after being edged by No. 5 Virginia the last time out. Tech got the doubles point versus the Cavaliers and freshman Evan Fragistas picked up a win on court six. The Hokies battled with Alex Ribeiro, Carlo Donato and Jason Kros all going to 3-sets in their respective matches.
Kros is ranked 67th entering into the tournament.
Tech will face Notre Dame in the opening round. The Hokies defeated the Irish 5-2 a few weeks ago. Tech got the doubles point and claimed singles wins with Henrik Korsgaard, Alex Ribeiro, Evan Fragistas and Brandon Perez.
Notre Dame enters the match with Richard Ciamarra ranked at No. 84. Alex Lebedev is ranked No. 33, but has been out part of the season. Ciamarra is also ranked in doubles with Tristan McCormick at No. 23
The winner of tomorrow's match will advance to face top-seeded Wake Forest on Friday at 9 a.m.
