The Virginia Tech women's golf team is the 10thseed at the 31st Annual Atlantic Coast Conference Women's Golf Championship, which will be held Thursday-Saturday, April 18-20, at the 6,089-yard, par 72 championship course at Sedgefield Country Club in Greensboro, North Carolina.
The Hokies finished 11thin last season's event as the 11th seed. Tech earned its first-ever berth in the NCAA Regionals last season in just the Hokies third season of intercollegiate competition.
Play at the ACC Championship gets underway Thursday morning at 9 a.m., as No. 10 seed Virginia Tech, No. 11 Notre Dame and No. 12 Boston College start on hole 1, while No. 4 Virginia, No. 5 Miami and No. 6 Clemson begin on hole 10.
At 9:50 a.m., two-time defending champion and top-seed Duke, No. 2 Wake Forest and No. 3 Florida State start on hole 10, while No. 7 North Carolina, No. 8 Louisville and No. 9 NC State open play in the championship on hole 1.

Ten of the league's 12 teams are ranked in the top 50 of the latest Golfstat rankings, including six in the top 30. Duke is the league's highest-ranked team at No. 3 in the listing, followed by Wake Forest (8), Florida State (12), Virginia (17), Miami (19) and Clemson (28). North Carolina is one spot shy of the group at No. 31, while Louisville (42), NC State (47) and Virginia Tech (48) are also among the top 50.
The ACC individual field is highlighted by two of the nation's top-three players in the latest Golfstat rankings, including Florida State's Frida Kinhult at No. 2 and Wake Forest's Jennifer Kupcho at No. 3. Kupcho recently made history by winning the inaugural Augusta National Women's Amateur Championship. In total, 16 ACC student-athletes are ranked among the top 100 of the individual Golfstat rankings.
The ACC Championship is making its return to Sedgefield, after a two-year hiatus that interrupted a span of eight consecutive championships hosted by the course.
Tournament play will be carried live on ACC Network Extra beginning at 2 p.m. on Friday and 1 p.m. on Saturday, with Roy Philpott and Donna Andrews on the call. Admission to the event is free.
