THE HOKIES
Tech will be looking to rebound after a tough stretch of facing three ranked opponents consecutively. This past weekend, the Hokies fell to #15 Florida State, 5-2. A highlight from that outing was junior Natalie Novotna beating Carla Touly (No. 32), 6-4, 6-1, to enter this week's ITA singles standings at No. 101. Sophomore Nika Kozar also grabbed a win on Court #2 in three sets. Kozar picked up a second win on Sunday while Tech fell to #19 Miami, 6-1. The match-up will be the Hokies' first midweek contest on the road this season.
THE TRIBE
William & Mary is coming off a 4-3 defeat on Sunday at the hands of Memphis. They are currently 0-2 this season against ACC opponents, previously facing Wake Forest and Virginia. The Tribe hold a 16-4 advantage all-time, but fell to the Hokies 7-0 the last time they met in 2014.
UP NEXT: Following the match the Hokies will have a week off between contests before returning to the court next Wednesday to host UAB at 10 am.
