ATLANTA, GA. – The Virginia Tech women's tennis team fell to #37 Georgia Tech 7-0 on Friday afternoon at Ken Byers Tennis Complex.
Georgia Tech (7-8, 4-4 ACC) took the lead early after claiming the doubles point with wins on courts one and three.
The Hokies (7-10, 1-6 ACC) were unable to get anything going in singles as Georgia Tech claimed wins on all six courts.
On court two, Elizabet Danailova lost the first set 6-1 before battling back to win the second 7-5 but ultimately fell in the super tiebreaker 13-11.
Nina Sorkin fell in the first set 6-4 on court five before coming back and winning the second 6-3 but fell in the super tiebreaker 10-7.
The Hokies will be back on the court Sunday, March 24 for a 1 p.m. match at North Carolina State.
