BLACKSBURG - Due to the impending weather expected to hit the area on Friday evening, the Virginia Tech baseball team has altered the start time for its ACC home opener against No. 8 North Carolina. The Friday opener at English Field at Union Park was originally slated for 6 p.m., but will now move to a 1 p.m. first pitch. The other games of the series - Saturday, 3 p.m. and Sunday, 1 p.m. - have remained the same.
The Hokies, who have won 5-of-6 and are 8-2 at home this season, are on the road today at Marshall.
A reminder to fans looking to attend any of this weekend's games against the Tar Heels (or any other ACC weekend contests in 2019), tickets are required for ACC home games this season. CLICK HERE to purchase in advance.
